At the edge of the Adour, the main city of Tursan country was a residence of Visigoths kings in the Vth century: Alaric II promulgates there his Breviary (collection of Roman law). The route follows the Arribaouts creek. Then walkers cross the hillside to the east to reach the neighboring plateau and take the way back. On their way, visitors can admire the church Sainte Quitterie positionned on the Vézelay path of the Way of St James.
