A very pleasant walk with nice views of the lake. Take water.

Nice walk and good views to stop for picnic at the halfway point where you turn off the track down the path towards the lake. Note that the turning off the main road is quite a way after the Camping Presa, maybe 500m (look for sign for Hector). Then from there to the start of the walk is also more than 300m, more like 5-10 mins drive. I had to compare to Google Maps to locate our route and reach the start. It had rained the night before we walked and it was a little muddy. There’s an odd almost U-turn you make at the start then scramble through a dry stream. Overall recommended though.

We may have taken a turning too far further along the main road.
