près de Grenade-sur-l’Adour, Aquitaine (France)
Near the Jean Darrieu bullring, the hiker starts from the edge of the Adour river to the slopes of the left bank. In the outskirts of the village, after the creek, the route takes a steep path towards Notre Dame du rugby. There, visitors can discover this sport sanctuary but also enjoy views of the Adour valley. This promontory was chosen by the Romans in order to build up a surveillance camp on the valley and the river. Along the hill, the trail alternates with cultivated fields, chestnut woods and oak groves, before descending the wooded hillside.
