Beautiful and quite steep path through the Lac de Taney. In less than 3 hours you will be able to enjoy a magnificent view over the Lac Léman and Lausanne.
It starts from the Parking le Flon and the first 1.6km are the perfect way to warm up your legs. Unfortunately, now as August 2018, the old route (Sentier des Chèvres) is closed due to working on some pipes and you must take the commercial road, the one used by cars (only 4x4) to go up to the lake.
When you arrive at Taney Village the directions to the summit of Le Grammont are perfectly written and you just follow them for a couple of hours through the alpages, always surrounded by goats and cows.
It's more or less a 700 meters ascent from the village but when you arrive at the Col de Crosses everything is pure magic and no more abrupt or steepy roads.
To enjoy the most your hiking, you need to walk another half an hour to be at the cliff of the mountain and see the lake from its highest point.
The trail I've done here does not arrive at the peak of Le Grammont, but it stays a little bit lower on the left.
