Description de l'itinéraire

The hike starts at the Pay & Display car park on Old Furness Road in Coniston, past The Sun Inn and onwards up the eastern path to the summit. From here there are plenty of options to return to your starting point; this hike takes in a small loop along the northern ridge and back down a very steep scramble to the larger of the two bodies of water before slowly descending to the start point. If you haven’t got waterproof shoes you don’t have to cross at the stream at the last part of the walk - there is a bridge further on.

Follow this path. If you want to take the longer route anti-clockwise you can join the path on the right a little further up. Otherwise keep the stream to your right and keep going.

Along the ridge; Here you can take the lower or upper path. The lower path is longer but a little more sheltered. The upper part has stunning 360 degree views.

Our route took us down a a steep scramble over the next ridge in the right. The path isn’t visible from the top but it appears after 50 metres of so of descent.

We did this route in reverse, it was less busy and I would recommend doing it this way
