Hikers follow the Adour river by its towpath. The barthes are also emerging: floodplains backed to the river, they are traversed by canals fed by streams doors. This water management system was imported in the 18h century by Dutch engineers. In spring, they are adorned with colourful grasses above which are flying white storks and egrets. The route passes through the plains to reach the wooded hills, between mixed forest and Landes forest. Sand, ferns and heather are back before the end of the trail.
