Description de l'itinéraire

Angels' Canyon is a popular destination for both hikers and nature lovers as well .
And it's quite popular for "instagram lovers" as a lot of people get here just to take photos and not to hike.
The rocky view of the canyon is at the beginning of the loop.

▲Recommended for: Hikers who search for easy hikes close to Yerevan, for those who enjoy the deserted canyons with no greenery, winter hike lovers.

~~~What you should know about this trail?~~~
--- The first km of the trail (and the last one) is quite passable for 4x4 vehicle, so you can leave it your car right on the spot where the loop starts (It’s mentioned in the waypoint).
--- It’s better to start the trail heading to the left first, as this way is generally a foot trail and it’s more complicated than the jeep treks on the way back. The jeep trek starts right on the spot when you turn back in the middle of the trail.
--- This trail is blazed by white and red marks, but the footpath way through the gorge has some confusing alternative options, so having GPS would be better to be on the safe side.
--- This is a fully kids friendly trail, the first part of the trail we have one spot for scrambling, but it’s quite doable with the help of adults. The thing to be worried here are snakes, which are mostly dangerous when you hike Angels' canyon out of season (look about the right season below ↴ ).
--- If you want longer hike in this area, I’ll suggest downloading “Ilkasar mount and Angels’ canyon” trail from my trails’ section.
SEASON
▶Doable:
This trail is doable in every season. But we need to be careful with this.
The right season to hike Angels canyon is the one, when we have low temperature and less sun.
▶Best season: It’s from January till mid April, and from mid November till January.
It is doable also in winter months if you are lucky to have warm winter without snow. Here we have dry winters, so even with some snow it can be a quite enjoyable hike. Heavy snow normally blocks the paths.
I generally recommend to come here either in winter or in late March-mid April (if you are not fond of snow hikes and want to enjoy a little bit greenery and sunshine).
▶Not recommended (Can be risky as well):
From late April till late October we can have unbearable hot temperature here. Hiking in summer is a pure torture in Ararat region. As the area is half-deserted and lacks of vegetation, we have also snakes here and after mid April they start to appear on the way.
    This walking route is very easy. I hiked in May, early in the morning so it was not very warm.
