This is a route i'm planning to do in Aughust.
Any help on the route or places to stay would be great.
I'm planning to do a Camel trek into the desert at Merzouga and sleep overnight in the desert.

I've done this route partially. I strongly recommend you to stay at the Kasbah Itran in Kelaa m'Gouna (http://www.kasbahitran.com) as it's beautiful and kind, and it's perfect to do a route into the Roses Valley and Dadès Gorgue.

In Merzouga there're a lot of people doing the camel trek & dunes overnight, but I find Kasbah Leila to be serious and not expensive.

If you want to do the off-road Todra-Dadès route (Two Gorgues Path), think about spending one whole day in it, because it's pretty sure it will take you that time.

If you have a little extra time, go to Finnt Oasis near Ouarzazate. A hidden jewel out of time and civilisation. A must see but be careful if you try to follow the oued path: do it with at least two 4wd and keep a distance of 50 m between them: you can be trapped in slippery bottom and you'll need to be rescued with the 2nd car. I talk in 1st person!!

    Hope it helps!

I'm not the author of this exact route, but looking at it you can see there are two trail parts: the Todra-Dadès (Boumalne-Tinerhir) and a long, plain area from Merzouga to near Zagora. All the rest is traced along roads.
